OFFICIAL APPROVED ENTRY REQUIRMENTS BASIC PROGRAMMES FOR NURSING

Basic Nursing and Basic Midwifery: The current approved entry requirement is five (5) O’level credit passes in Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry and Biology at not more than two (2) sittings from either the West African Examination Council (WAEC) or National Examination Council (NECO).
Any student with foreign examination board result(s) is expected to submit an evaluation report or equivalent grading from the Federal Ministry of Education along with the result. NABTEB is currently not acceptable.
Note: Acceptable Age range for admission into Basic Nursing and Basic Midwifery training programme is 18 - 35years as at the time of indexing.

POST BASIC PROGRAMMES

All Post Basic programmes must meet the same entry requirement as for Basic programmes. Only students who commenced their Basic education before the year 2006 can be considered for indexing with the same entry qualifications accepted during their entry into Basic programme because the current requirement of five (5) O’level credits passes in all Physical Sciences, English Language and Mathematics was adopted in year 2006.
All University students in BNSC programme must meet the same entry requirement as for Basic programme.
