The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has extended the registration for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) by two weeks.

- The Punch reports that JAMB announced the extension on Saturday, April 8.
- According to the report, the organisation also said it had rescheduled the UTME to between May 13 and 20.
Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, the Registrar/Chief Executive of JAMB, made the announcement at a press briefing in Abuja on Saturday.
He disclosed also that the Mock Examination is now on hold indefinitely while a new date will be communicated to candidates.
Prof Is-haq Oloyede had made the announcement about the exams at a meeting with ‘internal stakeholders’ in Abuja on Thursday, April 6 but today things changed.
Oloyede said the mock exams which had been expected to take place nationwide were meant to prepare candidates for the real exams.
Only candidates that paid for the mock test were eligible to sit, he said.
